BPY800CZ Series Magnetostrictive Level Gauge


Overview
The BPY800CZ series magnetostrictive level gauge is a high-precision level transmitter developed on the basis of the traditional float level gauge. It converts the displacement of the magnetic float with the change of the liquid level into an analog linear 4-20mA standard signal output. This kind of liquid level transmitter can also be tied to the magnetic turning column liquid level meter to output the liquid level remote transmission signal. It has the characteristics of convenient installation, stable and reliable operation, etc. It is mainly used in the industrial measurement and control of the liquid level of various liquid tanks such as petroleum, chemical raw material storage, biochemical, medicine, food and beverage, tank farm management and underground inventory of gas stations.
BPY800CZ series of magnetostrictive level meter consists of three main parts, namely guide rod, waveguide and electronic unit. The guide rod is used in corrosion-resistant, industrial harsh environment of stainless steel or outer lining PTFE. The core part of the transmitter is the waveguide, which is composed of a certain magnetostrictive material. The transmitter's electronic unit produces a low-current interrogation pulse, which simultaneously generates a magnetic field and travels down the waveguide. When this field intersects with the magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet in the float on the waveguide, a strain pulse, or waveguide distortion, is generated. The strain pulse is returned along the waveguide and is received by the electronic unit, and the precise measurement of the time interval between the interrogation pulse and the return pulse.

Electrical Wiring Diagram and Installation
The transmitter can form a system with any 4-20m \input indication, recording and adjustment instrument and computer control. When the instrument of the system cannot provide 24VDC power supply, it shall be provided externally.
