Overview of 1. bimetallic thermometers
WSS series bimetal thermometer is a field detection instrument for measuring medium and low temperature. Bimetal thermometer is made of multi-turn straight spiral bimetal sheet. It is suitable for on-site detection of temperature in the ground range of temperature measurement. It can directly measure the temperature of liquid, steam and gas medium in the range of -80 ℃ ~ 600 ℃ in various production processes. The electric contact bimetal thermometer can automatically send a control signal to cut off the power supply or alarm when the working temperature exceeds a given value. It can replace the industrial glass mercury thermometer and can directly measure the temperature of liquid, steam and gas in the range of -80 ℃ ~ 500 ℃ in various production processes. Widely used in petroleum, chemical, machinery, shipbuilding, power generation, textile, printing and dyeing and other industrial and scientific research departments.
Measuring principle of 2. bimetal thermometer
It works by using the principle that two different metals expand to different degrees when the temperature changes. The main component for industrial use is a multi-layer metal sheet composed of two or more metal sheets laminated together. In order to improve the sensitivity of temperature measurement, the metal sheet is usually made into a spiral coil shape. As the temperature of the multiple layers of metal sheet changes, the layers of metal expand or contract by unequal amounts, causing the spiral coil to be wound up or unwound. Since one end of the spiral roll is fixed and the other end is connected to a freely rotating pointer, when the bimetal feels the temperature change, the pointer can indicate the temperature on a circular scale.
Precautions for the use of 3. bimetal thermometer
1. The meter head cannot be screwed directly;
2, length selection to choose close to the standard size (50mm integer multiple);
3. The length of the protection tube immersed in the measured medium must be greater than the length of the temperature sensing element. Generally, the immersion length is recommended to be greater than 100mm, and the immersion length of the 0-50 ℃ range is recommended to be greater than 150mm to ensure the accuracy of the measurement.
It is not suitable for measuring the temperature of the medium in an open container.
5, in the storage, use of installation and transportation, should avoid collision protection tube, do not make the protection tube bending, more can not be used as a wrench.
6, in the case of normal use should be regularly tested. Usually every six months is appropriate.
7, is not allowed to work in a strong environment, so as not to affect the life of the bimetal, the electric contact is not allowed to be used in the control circuit of the occasion of large vibration, so as not to affect the reliability.
